OptiKonic (OK) Lens Calculation

The OptiKonic Calculation (OK) is a generic optical formula aimed at creating similar magnification where the scripts between two eyes is more than 2 diopters.

It aims to produce an overall magnification difference of less the 2% in all meridians. It also reduces many symptoms caused by Spectacle Aniseikonia: e.g. headaches, double vision, peripheral distortion, difficulty reading, and difficulty seeing distance.

SPECIAL LENSES AND OTHER UPGRADES

SlimLite

Slimlite involves a digital FreeForm technology process that minimises lens edge thickness on minus lenses by up to 70%. It can be applied to any Single Vision & FreeForm back surface progressives and and is recommended for patients that use metal & rimless frames where the lens is very visible.

This process can be applied to any material within the following refractive indexes: 1.5, 1.53, 1.56, 1.6, 1.67, 1.74.

The toughest hardcoat yet.

Armour Coat

Opticare’s Armour Hardcoat gives lenses greater durability and protection against scratches and general wear and tear. Armour Hardcoat combines the benefits of Skeye Multicoat with a tough, scratch-resistant, water repellent and anti-fogging hardcoat.

It features a hydrophobic top coat that repels substances such as oil and water from the surface of the lens.

AntiFog SHMC

Opticare’s AntiFog Super Hydrophobic MultiCoat is a high-performance lens coating designed to combat fogging and provide optimal clarity in challenging conditions. This advanced coating is particularly beneficial in environments where temperature and humidity fluctuations can lead to lens fogging, causing discomfort and obstructed vision.

The AntiFog SHMC incorporates cutting-edge hydrophobic and anti-fogging technologies. The hydrophobic properties of the coating repel water, preventing it from clinging to the lens surface. This feature is especially useful for activities involving water or rain.
